Stephanie Bernstein who husband Michael was killed in the Pan Am 103 fight bombed out of the sky and onto Lockerbie, Scotland, speaks to BBC News. There is an add-on at 6:15 about polling the issue, just fyi, but was posting mainly for the interview.

"Kenny MacAskill should be ashamed. I think this is a sad day for the people of Scotland, for the people of the United Kingdom and for the people of the United States if a mass-murderer is allowed to go free."

As a reference, all 243 passengers and 16 crew members were killed. Eleven residents of Lockerbie also died. Most of the passengers were from the United States.

Hillary Clinton said she was "deeply disappointed" and Megrahi should have served out his life sentence.

"We have continued to communicate our long-standing position to U.K. government officials and Scottish authorities that Megrahi should serve out the entirety of his sentence in Scotland," Clinton said in a statement. "Today, we remember those whose lives were lost on December 21, 1988 and we extend our deepest sympathies to the families who live each day with the loss of their loved ones due to this heinous crime," she added.

2. Why should it matter what they think about a different bombing?

3. The hypocrisy of harboring free terrorist bombers, while condemning this release.
Its kinda hypocritical to be condemning another government's decision, while the US harbors airline bombers guilty of an equally murderous and heinous crime, who are unindicted for their crime.

To have a solid footing one must not be standing in sand.

6. I should have been more complete in my post.
It is hypocritical of the US government to condemn the Scottish courts releasing the Pan Am bomber while at the same time harboring (by not honoring extradition agreements) the Cubano exile airline bombers who walk free and unindicted/protected for their crimes.

I understand the Pan Am victims families have no say in this matter. I was wondering how they feel about this hypocrisy of their government.

Sorry I was so unclear in my posts.

:hi:
