Republicans are now taking steps to assure that someone ends up dead. Hopefully it will be your president.... by saturating public events with guns and emotionalistic violent rhetoric, counting on the eventual lone crazy to pull the trigger for them. It is also no accident that Banister and Shirly are saturating their political base with images of Obama as Hitler, while Rupert Murdoch finances and promotes the film "Valkyrie" on the German patriotic assassination of Hitler. Ironically, the Republicans are actually historically tied to Hitler's Nazi movement, so it is not suprising they would choose this very image to project onto others. It is typical "advertising strategy" in the corporate world.

Mark Thompson just came right out with it and accused the FBI and SS of willfully not protecting Obama.
He has a good point. He brought up the infamous "free speech zones" of the Bush error (sic).
Why are they allowing individuals with assault weapons near the President now? Are they expecting trouble - or merely hoping for it?
We couldn't even get close enough to heckle Bush!

Regardless of how you feel about these people carrying, none of them has been allowed close enough to actually get a shot, nor have they had clear lines of sight. Total BS.

WTF?? The talking heads are getting more hateful and violent by the hour. I truly have seen nothing like it. Even though I understand what makes them tick, I will never fully understand how people can be and think this way. No empathy, no compassion. From what I have seen among acquaintances they seem to be poor in every way possible. Lacking education, a steady job, healthcare. If they are angry about this it would seem to me they are shooting themselves in the foot when choosing to align themselves with Republican "values".

Hell, in Bush days you couldn't even protest.

Why would you support "free speech zones?" Yes, I agree these guys are crazy but the secret service builds perimeters around the President and they are very hard to penetrate. These guys would never be allowed around him, they are all outside and very far from him. Do you seriously believe that there is some conspiracy between the FBI and Secret Service to let Obama get assassinated. If you do, I think you'll find some friends that don't believe he has legitimate birth certificate.

I would stand in front of any asshole who brings a gun to a town hall event. I would explain to then that I view them as a threat to my president and I don't want to give them a clear shot. Hopefully more would join me until the COWARD left. Hopefully the police would do the right thing and escort the COWARD out. I wish some people had challenged the asshole who was carrying the AR-15, and called him out for being the COWARD he was showing himself to be.

It isn't illegal, in Arizona for instance, to carry in public if you have gone through the legal channels. Granted, if they were to draw said weapon... that could be another thing all together.
