i usually tune out on campaign statements. in this interview - and it's really cool that you could do this interview! - i was most struck by your reference to your children. it brings it home. it illustrates the truth of the matter: we are all invested personally in what is happening and what has happened during the reign of the bushies.

i have a 15-year-old son, and if things don't turn around 180 degrees by the time he's 18, i think we'll be out of here. i already feel as if i lost my country; i'll be goddamned if i will allow my child's blood to be sacrificed for a fascist corporatocracy that considers him nothing more than grist for their mill.

and your interview helped me, too, to decide that if ultimately al gore declines to run for president, this candidate will likely be the one i support. thanks for this
