Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) wrote a tribute song to Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.), his close friend and colleague who passed away late last night.

Here is a stirring tribute song to my good friend, Senator Ted Kennedy called 'Headed Home.' I wrote this song with the great Phil Springer. Take a moment to listen to the words. You don't have to agree with everyone's politics...none of us agree 100% of the time. But you have to admire a lifetime dedicated to public service and improving the lives of others -- and that is just one of the many things that made Ted great. I think this song captures a small part of Ted's legacy of service. Listen to it and see what you think.

Too much to ask?

... can we FINALLY say that "bipartisanship" is a myth that really shouldn't be an end goal? It perhaps can be a means to an end if offered, but it shouldn't be the end goal that it seems to be for some in the party now. If we can't get them to work with us in an atmosphere like this, when will they cooperate?

Fuck who? (or should that be Fuck whom?) Fuck Hatch? Fuck Kennedy? Who, exactly, is it you want us to fuck?

This was Sen. Hatch's way to reach out to his friend who had just died.

Orrin really had love for Ted.

always felt there was a lesson there...Congress makes their deals and they are all social and even friends while we are all upset and fighting with each other dividing our great country. Am tired of cable news and radio talking heads on both sides seeking ratings while our country gets more and more filled with hate. Go ahead and flame me

Dear Senator Hatch,

You/America are in my thoughts and prayers during this time of mourning the loss of one of the greatest statesmen in the history of this country and one of it's, and your, dearest friends.

If you wish to Honor Him, as you declare in this beautiful song that we must- please work for and help to pass Universal Healthcare this fall in the Senate.

To do any less would sully the name of Senator Kennedy.

Some friendships just happen...and they won't happen now with the political climate the way it is. Even Biden was friends with Jesse Helms and Strom Thurmond.
