He mentions that he was a scumbag and liar. I would love to see that used in some advertisements. People like myself don't buy into the "I was a liar, but I am okay now" line of reasoning.

I think that the only difference at all is that he is still a liar, but he speaks to an audience that is so fucking stupid and hateful that they will actually buy into his lies. ANYTHING! Death Panels?!?!? Sure, we believe! Death Books?!?!?! Sure, we believe...... Not born here?!?!? Sure, we believe!.... It really astounds me.... there is literally nothing that he can say that his audience will stop and question. What astounds me the most is that these lies are so blatant and in your face. You really don't even have to go far to check facts and see that they are lies. Yet, they even eat up the really blatant lies.

The bottom line is that he is probably more of a liar than any time before, but he is now preaching to a crowd that is just THAT stupid.

His acknowledgment was of being a dirtbag, however with this episode I will credit him with an honorary diploma to scumbagdom, but I believe Beck is more than capable of reaching bag status of which no adjective; in the English language can describe to date.

He used that exact word. I don't recall what he was on about at the time, but he made the remark after he'd worked himself into a good fit and done his best to work his audience into a tizzy, in good televangelist fashion. At the time I thought, well, credit him for being honest and candid for a moment, like the times Coulter's admitted to saying inflammatory things just to get publicity.

All that was missing was a few "Jayzuz's", "can I get an Amen?", and "send me a check for $500.00 or any amount you can spare" to complete the picture. He is a con man that only fools the rubes that buy his BS.

Sometimes people who get sober grow and develop humanity(and THOSE people have my deepest respect), but other times they decide that if they were able to get out of the situation they were in(always forgetting to mention that they had TONS of help and had to admit powerlessness over their problems in order to recover)that it proves they're inherently superior to the rest of the human race and that no one else has any excuse for not being perfect. Sobriety makes them total bastards. This is clearly one of THOSE times.

This afternoon I posted a comment on a you tube video of him railing against Van Jones for his past behavior and ideologies- and ignoring the good he was now doing- a vision of rehabilitating our inner cities, reducing crime and recidivism, and reducing greenhouse gases. I pointed out to Beck that his past had included alcoholism and addiction that destroyed his marriage, and that he eventually got back on his feet after going to AA and joining the Mormon church. people make mistakes and change. I said take a look in the mirror, and what are YOU doing now? Whoring yourself to a corporate network and preaching fear with wild conspiracy theories.

I felt like he was responding directly to my post!! either he read it or he's hearing this hypocrisy charge from others. weird.
