(This is an extended copy of the version posted Sunday. In my haste to post the clip, I had failed to include Wallace's comments to Sec. Duckworth. If you K&R'd the previous video, I ask that you do the same for this... complete... version. - Thx)

During this week's Fox "news" Sunday, they ran a segment responding to "the flood of viewer mail" they received regarding their "explosive interview" (more like "openly hostile" interview) with Assistant Secretary of Veteran Affairs Tammy Duckworth regarding the "Death Book" that Republicans are suggesting "steers disabled vets toward euthanasia".

They then went on to "Fact Check" Duckworth's comments. First one out of the box, the availability of the so-called "Death Book". They play a clip of Duckworth claiming the book "will not be available until 2010." They then call her a liar.

But I remembered the conversation from the week before, and I remembered that she was talking about a REVISED version of the booklet (with the troublesome references omitted) as not yet available.

So I went back and looked at the video from last week. Sure enough, they selectively edited her comment to omit reference to the "revised" version.

(BTW: Duckworth is a double amputee below the knees. During today's viewer mail, a Fox supporter commended them for "holding her feet to the fire.")

Stay classy, guys.

4. Seriously, what's it going to take?
They have become a literal joke. It's like they looked at the "Really-Rottens" on that old Saturday morning cartoon "Laff-A-Lympics" and said, "huh...those guys are on to something, let's be like THEM!" We all knew that could give two shits about vets, disabled or otherwise except when they have to fake it to prop up a RW administration, but DAY-UM!

Can Duckworth sue them for this? Can anyone who's been the subject of their out and out lies? They should at least change the name to Fox: News Entertainment. This is a bad joke that got stale around 2001.

6. When they can't get the guest to say what they
want them to say, all they can do is edit it. You've entered the "** spin zone" (word NO removed for clarity).

7. Proof again...
... that one simply should not go on Fox News for an interview... period. All requests for such should be refused and ignored. Remember how John Edwards just dismissed Fox? Just brushed them aside because they have no credibility. If liberals did this en mass, it would just be the echo chamber it is and really appear to be of no value. Oh Fox will crow "they're afraid to come on" and all you have to do is say "You bet I am. My statements will be edited to be used against me. I'm not giving them ammunition for their editing room" And then play this clip.

10. Thanks for the post! I'm glad (well, also pissed) I heard about this.
I knew a bit about Tammy Duckworth, but now that I've taken the time to read about her I'm a big fan. For those unfamiliar with her story, her Wikipedia entry is worthwhile: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tammy_Duckworth

11. Will they apologize for this as they had to do for the edited Biden quote & the slap against Canada?
They're having to apologize so much they should rename themselves as "FOX Apologizes"

Instead of "news reports" they would offer "future Fox apologies"

...and coming up after this commercial, Glen Beck gives us another "Future FOX Apology"

13. Wait a second...
I saw that interview and I am pretty sure she said that the document was not in use. So, if it is in use, regardless of whether or not there is a revised edition coming out, I think that she was not truthful.
