Chris Christie, a typical do as I say not as I do Rethuglician. Living in NJ, I hope that people turn out this November and keep Corzine as Governor. Christie is a scumbag.

Christie Cited for Violations While U.S. Attorney

In 2005, New Jersey gubernatorial candidate Chris Christie (R) was issued traffic tickets for speeding, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving without insurance but was allowed to drive the vehicle home, reports Millennium Radio.

The three tickets had the words "no deal" written on them. Christie later pleaded guilty, paid a large fine and signed an affidavit.

A spokeswoman for Christie acknowledged that "the fact that Christie was U.S. Attorney did come up."

2. Good news.
And let's hope Creigh Deeds goes harshly negative in Virginia over McDonnell's thesis touting 18th-century morality at Pat Robertson's little university. That should in and of itself sink McDonnell.

4. Volunteering for Jon Corzine
so Chris Christie will be scanning the beach with a metal detector next year.
What did Christie do for Ku Klux Karl Rove that allowed him to stay on as U.S. Attorney after he was scheduled to be fired for not prosecuting enough Democrats?
Christie must be called back to Washington to finish testifying before the Committee he arbitrarily dismissed. What is Christie hiding?

11. It IS relevant, what about the stress on his heart? Blood pressure?
Edited on Tue Sep-01-09 08:53 PM by DainBramaged
If he is obese (which he is) he stands a greater risk for a heart attack or stroke than someone physically fit. maybe the other poster didn't express themselves in quite the way YOU'D like them to but they have a point.

GOP Governor candidate Chris Christie lent $46K to federal prosecutor who repays him in monthly installments

Former U.S. Attorney Chris Christie, the Republican gubernatorial candidate, has an ongoing financial relationship with one of the top federal prosecutors in his old office, mortgage records show.

The document says Christie, while serving as New Jersey's federal lawman, lent Michele Brown $46,000, to be repaid with monthly installments of $499.22 through October 2017. Brown is the first assistant U.S. attorney and had been promoted to two top posts by Christie while he ran the prosecutor's office.

The Corzine camp questioned whether it is proper for a candidate for governor to have any financial relationship with someone inside the U.S. Attorney's Office.

In an interview, Christie said he lent Brown the money after her husband lost his sales job, and it was nothing more than he and his wife helping out a friend.

12. Okay, you are right. His obesity is relevant to his health.
Edited on Wed Sep-02-09 12:37 AM by Quantess
He could have a heart attack, and even if he doesn't, his heart is working very hard to pump the blood through the plaque-coated arteries and the extra mile of capillaries more than normal-weight persons have. He might even break his cushy office chair, or lower the gas mileage on his state-sponsored vehicle due to the extra weight.

But how is any of that relevant to how he does his job?

Edit for italics. And I still say criticizing his weight is a cheap shot.
