we should ask of Dick Cheney. That's the way to get a full confession. Because Colonel Jessup, er, former Vice President Cheney, WANTS to confess. He wants to boast about how tough he got with terrorists, and how his conduct "while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saved lives." Except, of course, there is no evidence to support the saving of lives. That's all in his twisted imagination. In fact, we know, the torture cost lives, directly and indirectly. Dozens of prisoners died in custody. Others survived after resuscitation. The evil of torture hardened the position of our enemies and created many, many new enemies, which indirectly led to the deaths of many American soldiers.
