7. Oh, I dunno,
I think she would probably be more effective as a lobbyist. Seems all the real power is
held by the lobbyists and the politicians just vote their bidding.

5. she is right on!! eight doctors to get a diagnosis.... two years!! life or death

8. Love her. She is well-spoken. I hope she does run for office
and bless this woman for what she's been through with the cancer. It's INEXCUSABLE that it should take EIGHT doctors to get a proper diagnosis.

She should ditch the US Postal Service analogy, though.

10. Powerful message..... She went through eight doctors before
getting a proper diagnosis. The thing that kept her alive was being a medical consumer. Now she is supporting public option. She has my vote.

11. Oh, well, that oughta do it then.
Maybe we should send her over to laugh at the Republicans until they give in. I know I wouldn't last five minutes against it! :-D

congress critters out there.

13. Why not? She's been there and knows how to do her homework
If Belly Abzug can represent New York in the House with her thick accent, Fran Drescher
could certainly do it. Al Franken is proof that an entertainment personality is, too,
capable of making the transition from entertainer to responsible legislator. Not all
actor-politicians are Ronald Reagan.

14. Yes, she did her homework
Her tv series ended 10 years ago and she still is quite well known.

Very well spoken.

She definitely could work on Capitol Hill.

Glad she said someday....but not right now.

VERY smart. When I compare her to the likes of Jon Voight........

16. If anyone out there thinks
that, like Ms. Drescher, all Americans can afford to go to eight different doctors to get proper testing (that their insurance company's health care denying department will approve) to accurately diagnose their problem, they shouldn't be walking around without the supervision of a Nanny.

19. She's smart not to run now...
She said she lobbied to get one bill passed and now will work on another... when she does run for office she will know some of the ropes and people, and will have some experience under her belt.

23. Too bad Fran and entertainers aren't being courted by Dems to
do something like public service commercials for the Public Option. A lot of people out there do not read newspapers and aren't well informed, but they do know their TV and movie stars. So many in that industry got together to help Obama win the election. Where are they now? (Oprah?)
