2. King's point about Pawlenty's wife is valid. The freepers will screech that
it's "gotcha" journalism, which is what they screech when it's used on them. They don't seem to have any problem with it whatsoever when it's used on Democrats.

Pawlenty sounds an awful lot like somebody with higher ambitions.

3. One of the local TV stations ran a clip interviewing
Edited on Sun Sep-06-09 09:26 AM by MineralMan
Thin Polenta about this, and he said the same thing he said to King. Then, the station aired a clip from a speech Polenta made in a school as Governor, which was very heavily political in nature. Very nice...

This double-standard business needs to be called out like that every time it comes up.

7. Too bad King didn't do his homework and bring up that speech, with some quotes from it.

8. Perhaps the subject line is a bit over-stated.
Still, not bad given King's rather toolish approach to journalism.

6. I wouldn't call it 'owned'. He missed an opportunity to call him out.
He let Pawlenty lie, without much rebuttal, about the reason he opposes Obama's speech.

9. I'm sure he could think of any number of reasons
why it's wrong for him to do it. But it still goes back to just opposition to the party.

14. Yup

I agree. I didn't want to believe it, but that's really the only explanation that makes sense. Pure racism. These people should be ashamed of themselves.

15. Pawlenty should be ashamed of himself
in fact he'd be all over a sitting Democratic governor had he challenged a Bush or Reagan speech to school children.
