2. I'm going to trust in his approach may not be overtly liberal but they are moving forward. We know..

what is ideal for policy right now but the hard fact is many folks don't know what is in the best interest for health care policy and foriegn policy etc, etc. They've lived by several decades of corporate ideology. He's finding a way that can accommodate both sides and moving forward. We can say they don't matter but democratically they do sure one side elects President Obama but he does represent the whole. So, this is where awareness is everything and it's a hard fight with some parts of corporate media working hard against us, but the only option is to never give up. This bill is a stepping stone, and congress is just a very slow changing entity. But as one person said a bill that gives half the things it does could only of been dream of only a few years ago. It'd be great to have it all now, but if we keep pushing everything else we want will follow, but only if folks stay in the game. Just how it is,sure it'd be great if everyone could be on the same page and know single payer is the best plan out there. But fact is we're just not there yet.

I think the positive signs are showing in the slow recovery, it does show he knows what he's doing this was a depression that was heading to a tunnel with no end in sight President Obama reversed that. To some level he's got that right, I'll respect in his judgment in how this bill will take shape. Once it's passed though it doesn't have to mean an end to single payer it's just a step closer.

3. The "Still a work in progress" comment at the very end of part 2 was my favorite.
I appreciate Obama's sense of humor at that extreme undertatement.

4. the benefit of his interviews like these is it is hard for the moderate-Republicans to ignore sanity

and he comes across as reasonable, sane, smart, concerned for the country, amiable, and all kinds of 'cool' that the GOP and other politicians can't match. So in terms of changing a few minds or at least opening up a few closed ones, I think the reasonable folks will respond to this kind of discussion and the crazy folks will never respond so why even give them a 2nd thought.

and the video will probably eventually be on the cbsnews site so for those that can't see it now due to time, keep checking around and it'll reappear I'm sure

5. I liked the "time out" part. Kroft was working up some serious right-wing lather there.
I don't watch Kroft enough to know in which direction his political sympathies tilt, but he didn't do his journalistic credibility any favors with his "you nationalized the banks, etc." approach.

8. Accountability my foot
"After it passes I own it." Yeah big deal, after it passes your last campaign happens and two years latter it gets implemented. Washington accountability: lets not look back; and I say it's rubbish.

10. Notice even Steve Kroft uses the "Socialism" frame innapropriately
We need to wake up to the attack on our language. Anyone else read George Lakoff's work?
