4. but congress is not his boss. His district is.
They can replace him in the next election.
Congress can expel someone.
No one can "fire" congresscritter. more's the pity.

he involuntarily, by the action of a superior authority, for misconduct,
loses his title, his office, his salary, his perks and benefits...
he is no more, nor again, a member of congress.

fired? expelled? mere words lacking distinction in this circumstance.
one might as well say "Joe, YOU'RE FIRED!!!"
