That seems to be their latest form of concern and if they see Republicans had them too, it might open up a path way of understanding. At least have a few clips handy on an iphone to prove czars have been assigned for a long time. It seemed to have a big impact when he mentioned that in the footage.

30. Yeah, I like the woman who said she was rethinking the Republican party
after hearing about the history of US czars and presidential advisors. (Honestly, how did she get to be that old and never have heard about presidential advisors before?!) Anyway, we can only hope this kind of engagement/history lesson makes a good chunk of these people break off to form their own party and weaken that Repukes even further.

Somehow he defused the anger the teabaggers. He got them to at least think.

As an aside, I believe the first 'Czar' was appointed by FDR. These people are just a tad bit behind the times. Nixon appointed the first Drug Czar.

It is amazing what these right wing hosts are able to spin into issues. Anyone who bothers to read would know the likes of Beck are completely full of it. I think half of it isn't stupidity, it is simple laziness. They listen to Beck, or whomever, on their way to work or while making dinner at home, and that is the extent of their knowledge.

This interviewer did a great job of getting through that, and that is no small feat.

So Glen Beck gets them scared about Czars, of all things, but none of them think to do a simple Google search to find out the truth of Beck's claims? Or how Joe Wilson has voted in the past? The interviewer was brilliant and made them look like stupid rubes ... and how easy it was. Like stealing candy from a baby.

Again and again I have to wonder why the mainstream media is giving this tiny fraction of the Republican base so much air time.

YEARS ago when I was in school we learned about the three branches of government, about the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights -- like in 7TH OR 8TH GRADE.

I can not believe that that senator would be dumb enough to think that teachers should wait until the LAST year of high school to teach these things.

I am sure a good percentage of the DUMB people in the USA dropped out of school and never made it to their senior year - so what that senator was proposing is not going to help with the problem we now have.

Ed compared the protest to the size of a crowd at a college football game.

Contrasted it with the 2 million who showed up in DC on Obama's inauguration day.

don't know who to blame so they look to Fox News and the folks who prey on them on Hate Radio to find a rallying point. This is the best video I've seen. Shows not that some these people are ignorant but that they sense something is wrong with the country and the news they get doesn't challenge them. There are some nut jobs there who are either mentally ill or paid to do what they are doing...but the others are folks who need more information and don't know where to find it.

69. Agreed. The reaction to the interviewers comments in regards
to the 'czars' appointed by our modern presidents was interesting. Most of those people seemed to be enlightened. You would think they would like to educate themselves about what they are believing and schpeiling instead of sucking up the 'information' given them by Hannity, Beck and the other Fox quislings.
