Yet, he expends tremendous amount of energy to find the right "sweet nothings" to say that will recruit like-minded people without incriminating himself because of his actual point of view. Very skillful... because I've discovered that an unfortunate proportion of the human population can listen to such "sweet nothings" and be moved by them.

But he thinks a lot of his viewers are. And given that he is an idiot he can do nothing but shoot in all directions at everything he thinks his viewers finds suspicious. He is ofc completely unable to understand nor explain whatever he says. And he has stayed away from situations where he might have to.

He is a cynical idiot, that will say or do anything that will make people revere him. And where are such people easiest to find?

Letting himself be interviewed by Katie Couric is a gross mistake. Which he finds out. :)

I will look for that video you mentioned.

Katie Couric is one of the few journalists today that still only asks open-ended questions. She's famous for asking "Why?" or "What do you mean?" or "Tell me more about that?" Rachel Maddow does this as well.

David Gregory almost always asks Yes or No questions like "Will you draw a line in the sand about the public option?"

30. I like Cenk but I disagree with him on this.
Beck practices racism as a means to achieve fame, influence, power and/or wealth, even if he doesn't believe it, that would still make him a racist. Furthermore at the very least Beck's actions feed or activates dormant racism by mainstreaming it, whether Beck; believes in the poison he sells or not, he's a racist.

If you find that difficult to watch, it's because you have a naturally sympathetic outlook toward your fellow human beings--evenly the childishly obstinate ones like Beck. That's commendable, but it's a characteristic not shared by Beck & his tribe. To them, it's a "trap" when he's asked to give a complete and unedited explanation of what he meant in a previous statement that he made on the air.

Being sympathetic is rational, of course. Being Glenn Beck is not. His agenda is to inflame, not to explain.

While both are cringeworthily clueless, Michael Scott at least has his heart in the right place despite his flaws. He wants to do the right thing.

He has a script that's being fed to him by Murdoch and his GOP & corporate buddies. That script is to try and get Obama out of office asap by any means possible. His attempt to try and turn that question (the answer to which we all know is that BecKKK himself is the racist who was using the time honored RW tactic of projection when he called Obama a racist) into something that will play along with his script for the lowest common denominator (his fan base) was an EPIC FAIL.
