…protests (were) aimed generically at capitalism...

…(they) object to existing global financial system, free markets…

…I fundamentally disagree with their view that the free market is the source of all ills…

He got their number.

He pretty much dismissed them as not actually paying attention to the summit, which I totally agree with.

2. They are a bunch of incorrigible little children
They accomplished absolutely nothing, except to embarrass themselves and burden the city's resources.

33. Did you hear that the police have arrested ONE GUY that they are charging with "most"
of the vandalism committed during the entire summit?

Isn't it sad how quick some "progressives" are to immediately condemn people who don't rush to submit to those who abuse authority? Link to the story on the arrest below.

8. Did Obama mention that the teabaggers
Edited on Fri Sep-25-09 08:18 PM by Why Syzygy
were "UNINFORMED"? Did he have any cautions that the town hall disruptors might be FULL OF SHIT?

I don't recall hearing a peep from him about the 912 protests! Did I miss it?

A communique is very quaint. What he might not want to notice is that they are protesting what ALREADY happened. The horse has left the barn! A little bit late to say, oh oops, yeah we agree that shouldn't happen again. It DID happen! And this bunch has been in charge long enough that if they had any better ideas, they would have DONE SOMETHING!

Pitiful.

We are urged that the only way to defeat the mob right is to ORGANIZE. And then get slammed when it happens.

11. Wimpicrats
is what Gerald Celente calls us. When Bush was called on all his purposeful evils, we were called "Bush Bashers", and threatened. The Democrats just sit there and take it. Unless, as you say, we're on the same TEAM!

The irony is the teabaggers are pissed off about some of the same stuff we are. THEY get to have big rallies and no Wimpicrat questions whether or not they are INFORMED! :grr:

These people are not on our team. They are anarchists and socialists and in no way represent the values of the Democratic party.

I don't know if they still post here. But they are members.

This is the first time I have ever seen "socialist" used in a derogatory manner on DU.

What does that tell you? ;) ;)

31. You can say that again 'used to vote for them'
Every day they provide more reasons why people will find little reason to vote for them again.

In a way it's probably a good thing, as people can now focus on finding representatives who share their views and values. So many voted for them reluctantly in the past several elections hoping that maybe we'd see some spine if they had a majority. But they have it, and nothing much has changed. A few crumbs are thrown our way once in a while, but for the most part, the Republicans are still calling the shots. Or, more correctly, the Corporations.

And Democrats, when it comes to the people who elected them, act like people who are ashamed to be seen with a relative who embarrasses them.

Next election, I think that might be the attitude of a lot those who have supported them in the past.

18. about the following
Their view that the free market is the source of all ills…

They also were not actually paying attention to the summit,

The problem with both the far left and the far right is fact that they all have very narrow minds.
