1. Way to go Billionaires!!!!
It's outrageous that Senator Klobuchar still does not have a position on the public option!!!!!!!!! She is slick - she will say that she's "open to a public option" or "positive about it" - which is completely different than actually being FOR THE PUBLIC OPTION!! She doesn't want to close the door on the big bucks contributions from the insurance corporations.

2. But it's not as if Klobuchar would vote AGAINST the public option.
There's a BIG difference.

3. The role of a Senator is to show leadership
Her refusal to take a firm stand in support of anything shows a real lack of leadership. Simply not voting against it is not good enough, she needs to stand up for what is right and firmly come out in support of the public option. I am tired of politicians who refuse to take a stand, if they are not willing to take a stand on the issues then what the hell are they doing running for office in the first place?

5. If you read her website
it's pretty clear where she stands.

6. Can you show me where on her website she takes a position on a public option?
I am looking at her page on health care and I don't see the words "public option" anywhere.

7. I've called her office every day for the last week and a half to ask
where she stands on the public option and their response is always the same - "She has not released her position on the public option. She is waiting to see the final bill.' She's sitting on the sidelines, waiting to see the final bill.

I know the insurance companies are not sitting on the sidelines, waiting to see the final bill.

4. Right now it's very uncertain whether we'll get a decent public
option. By sitting on the sidelines, she is absolutely no help. The insurance companies are waging war on all fronts to defeat a public option - spending $5 million on Congress a week, lining up conservative columnists and commentators, organizing tea baggers through front groups, etc. etc. etc. We need a senator who will speak out in favor of a public option, help gather the votes, someone who'll take a leadership role - instead she's speaking out on childhood obesity (not stepping on any corporate toes there).

She's among many people in Congress who are letting the corporations run the show!

8. Her website says that she has long been in favor of
"an option like the Federal Employee Health Benefits Program". That's a program that uses private insurance companies. The public option I've been working for is an expanded Medicare kind of program. She says nothing about that. She's talking about expanding the use of private insurance companies!!!! That's why the insurance companies are salivating over this legislation - if everyone has to be covered and there are government subsidies, it's a bonanza for the insurance corporations, unless there's a public option and real competition.

9. Speaking of leadership (or lack thereof)!
Here's a good article about the lack of leadership in Washington D.C. "Yellow City? Spineless Cowards Almost Everywhere in DC"

11. The American people have to start paying attention and demand
change! How can we tolerate the top 1% having more wealth than the bottom 95%???

12. Wealthcare
Thanks Billionaires for Wealthcare you are really doing a public service by reminding Senator Amy Klobuchar to continue to help the wealthy at the expense of the middle class and the poor. We all benefit when the billionaires who have so much get more.

13. That's right - eventually some crumbs trickle down
to the rest of us. When the top 1% owns more than the bottom 95%, crumbs is all we're going to get.

15. More of the protests should be directed at Klobuchar.
I don't know why the Twin Cities protests are mostly directed at United Health - they can't give us a public option. Our energy should be directed at Klobuchar. She could do so much more to give us a decent healthcare bill!!!
