Keith Olbermann Names FOX's Glenn Beck "Worst Person in the World" for Accusing the White House of Being More Focused on a War With FOX News Than the War in Afghanistan - 10/14/09

He comes up with some quite staggering figures on how many times BecKKK has smeared the President and his supporters since January.

Ben Smith's article Keith is referring to...

The war on Beck
October 14, 2009

Fox News has taken a relatively cautious line toward the White House attacks on the network, leaving the real fireworks to Glenn Beck, who Monday accused the White House of being "more worried about the war on Fox than the actual war in Afghanistan."

The charge prompted one source with too much time on his hands to send over the results of a Nexis search of Beck's program since it began on Fox in January. The frequency of the words used offers a clue to its themes. And unsurprisingly, the Taliban (38 mentions) just isn't in the same league as some domestic threats, notably ACORN, which tops the list at 1,224 mentions. It's a remarkable shift, indeed, for Fox, which dwelled heavily on terrorism during the Bush administration but which, like the conservative movement, has turned toward a sharply domestic focus this year.

Here, by the frequency of the words used, are the threats Glenn Beck has been talking about since his Fox show launched:

ACORN: 1,224
Czar/Czars: 533
Socialist/Socialism: 404
Communist/Communism: 330
Liberal/Liberals: 272
SEIU: 259
Community Organizing/Organizer: 167
Marxist/Marxism: 127

Afghanistan: 97
Troops: 95
Iraq: 95
Soldiers: 52
Al Qaeda: 50
Left-Wing: 43
Taliban: 38

Beck's individual enemies list is also a bit light on the international terrorists:

Van Jones: 267
Valerie Jarrett: 52
Mark Lloyd: 50
Bill Ayers: 46
John Holdren: 43
Jeremiah Wright: 42
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: 41
Osama Bin Laden: 40
Kim Jong-Il: 7
Mullah Omar: 2
Najibullah Zazi: 0

Last week, on the eight anniversary of the invasion of Afghanistan, Beck did touch on the subject.

"A real quick mention of a couple of things. Eight years of fighting in Afghanistan, almost 800 Americans killed. Thank you, families for your sacrifice. This has been happening in Afghanistan when we struck back against the terrorists. Eight years - eight years. Do you really think if we were really fighting to win and our politicians were serious, we would still be there?" he said.

Then he continued:

"And another anniversary - FOX NEWS Channel began its journey 13 years ago. I'm proud to be part of the family."
