Jon Stewart began his October 12 show by skewering CNN for fact-checking a "Saturday Night Live" skit -- but failing to fact-check most of the guests on their own network.

Jon Stewart Takes On Fox News For Not Covering Gay Rights March (VIDEO)

Jon Stewart skewered Fox News last night for covering every tea party protest in America (no matter how small) but not sending a reporter, or even a camera crew, to cover Sunday's gay rights march which included more than 75,000 protesters. Stewart and his team at the "Daily Show" counted how much time Fox devoted to even speaking about the march on Washington and it totaled less than 4 minutes.

2. It's a fucking shame
that we have to rely on comedians to provide REAL information in this society. This is especially true when this should be the greatest information rich time in history.

3. So where did this lowball 75,000 figure come from?
There were between 150,000 and 200,000 at the march and rally. This I know. I was there from start to finish.

he's amazing. CNN is pretty bad, but man, Faux News is even worse...

and Faux is truly, as we've all said for 5+ years, a tool of the GOP, and they are to be dropped from airports, hospitals, etc, that show their station -

ASK BUSINESSES TO STOP SHOWING FOX NEWS CHANNEL - DON'T BE AFRAID!

but I love Jon for ripping CNN! :)

5. Why is it that when I attempt to stomach any "News" programming
these days, I feel like I'm being talked to like I'm 7? Why the urge to reach through my screen and strangle the life out of some vapid talking head becomes so strong, I have to switch to Comedy Central and watch whatever is on for a few minutes.

There needs to be a revolution in this country, of this I'm sure. Journalists should be amongst the first burned at the stake in televised public executions. Now THAT would be news!
