"It's called a pyramid scheme, because only a few people can sit on top of the pyramid. Their job is to convince everybody else in the pyramid to work really hard because 'maybe you, too, can be up there in the pyramid with me some day,' but of course we all know that's not gonna happen. ... This whole system is set up to make sure that the people at the very, very top get away like bandits. ... You're asking the foxes to mind their own henhouse ... That's essentially what I feel we have, when you have the Rubins' and the Summers' and these guys still around. ... I think there is something boiling beneath the surface out there -- there is an anger. You can't throw that many people out of their homes ..."

1. He becomes each President's worst nightmare and always the peoples' hero...

Not that he intentionally sets out to oppose President Obama, but the finance system sure needs reform of some kind. In a lot of ways he does support Obama to do what's right for everyone.

3. I think he put into perspective where "we" are and what "our" next step must be-
... and this doesn't (right now) look like it's any easy follow through for those of us who keep writing, vocalizing, marching, and trying to change within the halls of any government. Meanwhile, it's becoming more and more of a police state, propaganda is at an all time high. These people sense our anger.

I don't want to be misunderstood, though... I mean, I get really, really disgusted and angry seeing what the right has been doing at these tea bag rallies. However, IF I understood that the sheeple are reacting to something they can't as easily intellectualize (yes, we're such an able group of intellectuals!), then I ought to AT LEAST consider reaching out, which is the suggestion here from Moore- reach out and do my level best to explain to these totally clueless people in both parties. IOW, do my part to get us ALL on board with what we've been allowing to go on and on and on.

Years and years, we've been complaining about congress (and yet, when it comes to voting the bastards out, we allow exceptions of what our own congress critters have participated in).

Are we ready to be revolutionary? How much energy is this worth?

All I can muster, should be the answer.

Whoo boy... I've been trying to attempt this at the local govt level. Whoo boy...

7. Agreed but...
I take a slightly more radical stance. We've been trying to "explain" the situation for decades. It hasn't really worked. The dumb just aren't getting any smarter. I suspect that soon much more dramatic action will be called for. I don't know when "soon" will be but it almost came when the banks crashed last fall.

6. Wonderful interview.
I wish that Michael would give us some ideas about what we should be doing. I haven't been able to think of any way to help that I haven't already tried.
