A compilation from Media Matters that proves Faux is not news, it's a 24/7 political operation.

4. I don't watch Fox Snooze...

But having viewed those clips I am absolutely amazed that people of reasonable intelligence, first, could even say things like that and, second, people actually believing those things. Seriously, all one has to do to disprove all of what was said is to go out in public. Where are the state run stores, the state run businesses, farm collectives? All I can say to these accusations* is that the right wing is intent on destroying this country making it a one party country with power reserved only for the elite. They may already have destroyed us with the national debt. Everyone should by now that it cannot possibly be paid off ever. Over the past 30 years with the election of Reagan the right has been dismantling all programs that help the people and have concentrated government spending mainly to those that least need it. In plain talk, the right wing discovered that the way to riches is to go where the money is and the biggest money is government. It is much less work to get the money by paying off the politicians and profiting from contracts than to work in a competitive market place. Are they actually calling liberals socialists when their own agenda is a single party government?

* These aren't really accusations. We all know that. These are nothing but outright lies. The right wing seems to have problems with the truth.

8. Americans have no knowledge of world history. People who have been blissfully ignorant for years
are now being roused into action by the people who prey on their prejudices and give them easy answers.

They simply just do not know any better.

13. Like the truth Rev.Wright told..
and many couldn't handle if they did a little research they would know that hannity was spouting bullshit, he just wanted to label wright and Obama as another, jesse or sharpton. I don't agree with everything they say either but there are a lot of truths there. Jesse does irritate the hell out of me I almost can't stand to hear him talk.

I notice that the right and some of the media think that the public is not a mix of all cultures and we have been living and working together for years. They love to throw out their names so that people will become afraid and think,Oh my god the blacks are taking over. If any thing the blacks should be screaming about how every other race comes over here and gets better treatment then black people who helped build this country with free labor and invented a lot of the things in this world that make it convenient for all. When they do what do they hear, jesse, sharpton, rev.wright, and farrak

The media and politicians have been throwing out this shit for years, they really think that we are living in the sixties but, this election has awaken these stupid narrow minded people. These people complain about crime and education in the black communities,do they realize that they were part of the problem, they have destroyed many generations with their bullshit...Now,they want their country back was it ever theirs in the first place. They complain about hispanics and others who were here before they were..

31. Not "Americans"....Some Americans.
WE are "americans" are we not?...Did not "Americans" elect Barack Obama?

In a country of 300 million, it's difficult to paint with that broad a brush.

9. Ah, the beauty of political propaganda clumsily disguised as "News"
Remember this when dealing with Faux, or any right-winger: 9 times out of 10, the right-wing is guilty of doing exactly what they accuse the left-wing doing.
The RW will say "Liberals hate America," and then follow it up with demonizing, bashing and hating anyone and anything liberal, Dem, Gay, in a racial minority, Atheists, Muslims, occasionally Jews, immigrants (legal or otherwise), etc. In other words, anyone who isn't a straight, white Christian American.
The RW accuses Obama of supporting fascism and socialism at the same time. While they are actually guilty of supporting fascism for the poor and socialism for the wealthy.
The RW accuses the MSM of having a liberal bias. They in turn, as part of the MSM, dedicate their entire programming schedule to silence and demonize anything liberal, while propping up anything positive regarding their view of conservatism.
The RW accuses the left of committing class warfare. They actually declared war on the middle class in the 80s and have been fighting for the wealthy ever since.

In other words, the RW is full of hypocrites, and not just the closeted, anti-gay, gay representatives a la Larry Craig. They look at the world, find the worse personality traits or characteristics and project them onto their opponents. But they never look at themselves to see if those traits fit them.

33. So true
I think the reason they tend to project so much is that they cannot conceive of people thinking in a way different from them.

What really brought this home for me was when the college where I was teaching had Ann Coulter appear (funded mainly by the school's conservative rag funded by well-heeled RW alums). A student argued in the (regular) school paper that everyone should attend (there was no admission charge)... his idea of why liberals should go see her was to reinforce their liberal views through exposure to the enemy - as if what defines liberal political views is simply opposition to an identified set of villains.

There's some scholarly work that points out that defining one's group in terms of a list of enemies is especially common among RW political movements. Understanding this explains how they can profess to believe so many absurd things - the function of belief is mainly to solidify group membership, not to reflect reality.

17. No doubt about it: Fox News is Faux News.
They report what they want you to believe. They present lies as fact, and propaganda as news. And their viewers are too stupid/lazy/complacent/bigoted/racist/etc. to know any better, much less check things out for themselves.

It's a disgrace, the entire network and everyone on it. Liars. Every one of them.

36. I love how they dont bring up the keeping Amurkkka safe thing anymore...
seeing as how by this point in B*sh's first term we had been attacked. I dont remember any terror related arrests happening under Bush. Obamas already got like five. But if questioned on this Im sure Faux news would say W kept us safe after 9/11, which is like saying "I havent beat my wife since the last time I did." These people are horrible things, and since when does a "news" organization have wins? How is a president failing a win? Pieces of shit they are.

That was one of the most revolting things I've ever seen. I believe this is the beginning of a serious, almost certainly violent, national situation in this country. 'Conservative' tv news and radio are doing everything they can to spark it to life. What can be done, though, without violating 1st amendment rights?
