Lawrence O'Donnell had some tough words for RNC chairman Michael Steele this morning regarding the GOP's loss of the 23rd congressional district in New York for the first time in history. O'Donnell accused Steele, along with Sarah Palin and others, of leading the Republican party to defeat in the 23rd by ousting the Republican candidate Scozzafava from the race in favor of a more orthodox conservative who proved too orthodox for the voters. An incredulous O'Donnell asked Steele how such a stunning defeat could happen.

The biggest story of regarding yesterday's election is that we dems won TWO House seats: NY-23 and CA-10
In my opinion gaining TWO U.S. Congressmen shows that the American people are tired of having republicans in the Congress.

And the winning of a seat that a democrat hasn't won in over 100 years (NY23) is just AWESOME!

2. Yesterday's REAL "biggest loser" was Sarah Palin
Because what's really awesome about the NY-23 win is that it nullifies Sarah Palin as a political force--even with the help of the moderate GOP candidate dropping out!

Palin runs with McCain ... McCain loses.
Palin endorses Hoffmann ... Hoffman loses.

Palin has endorsed Texas Gov Rick Perry ... God I hope he loses!
Palin is expected to endorse Kirk up in Illinois ... time will tell.

Any others?

4. Steele was all smiles and giggles
on Fox this morning saying the democrats are in dis-aray...where and why I'd like to know. I suppose that was so they didn't ask him about the 23rd district of New York.

And by the way I heard on one newscast that the police office who took the "tires slashed" incident said he told the guy at the time he had ran over a bottle. But I suppose it made better copy for the republicans to say someone slashed his tires...like you know you know someone shot up my house.

7. CA-10 was vacated by a Democrat.
We have had that seat since 1997. It was vacated by Ellen Tauscher to serve in the Obama administration as "Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Affairs". Really we held a seat we vacated in CA-10. The NY-23 win is simply stunning though. Up until they called it I was certain Hoffman would win it.

Healthy for the rest of the country. The Congressional Seat in District 23 NY has been held by republicans for 157 years!..until the limpalinbeck axis got a hold of it.

"I love political geography and political history. So, something seemed out of line when I recently read diaries on several sites regarding the soon-to-be vacancy of New York's 23rd Congressional District, made possible by the appointment of John McHugh to become Secretary of the Army -- several diaries mentioned that the district hasn't been represented by a Democrat in a quarter century or so. Perhaps parts of the district haven't elected a Democrat in 25 or so years, but it seemed to me that most of the district hasn't been Democratic-held since much earlier times. I decided to do a little research."

9. The more
I see of that asshoole Steele, the more I thank my lucky stars that he's out of my fucking state right now and really can't damage it with his batshit craziness.

Hats off to O'Donnell for not allowing idiot Joe or any of the others from getting the real message out. Steele's a fucking liar. He did make NY-23 a high priority and he got his ass handed to him.

What that was Michael Steele was not you trying to be cool and act like you did something. No, your performance was that of an idiot who just got smacked down with the truth.

Grow the fuck up Steele, your shit ain't working.

13. IT'S OFF!!!!!!
I just couldn't take it anymore so I turned my radio off. The Ed Schulz show was on. I often wonder what that guy's deal is.. He certainly has no problem about hanging out the Democratic Party's dirty laundry.
I always try to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it almost seems like he can't contain himself.
Obama hasn't done this.
Democrats are losing. Obama said this, but has done that. He just never stops! I apologize in advance if I offended any of his fans, but honestly, I feel the local community would be much better served with TYT in his time slot.

14. Me too...
I was hoping that Cenk was going to get the new time slot and then MSNBC put Ed on.
I didn't like him at first but then he seemed okay, but the past month or so he has been doing a lot of Obama bashing and he is getting on my nerves really bad.
I still wish that MSNBC had put TYT's Cenk on instead of Ed.

20. Never mind, huh, that he's voicing the same thing as other "progressive" talk show hosts,
the same thing as many Dems, the same thing as many independents, the same thing as many first time voters.

Just make the voice go away, and all will be well.

Riiiiight.
