The House passed its version of health-care legislation Saturday night by a vote of 220 to 215 after the approval of an amendment which amounts to a not-very-back door abortion ban for everyone but the very rich.

1. K & R...hear hear!!

Once again only the very rich will be able to have a legal abortion and once again we will find our sisters, our mothers, our daughters dying at the hands of quacks and do-it-yourself abortion methods.
But then again..only the very rich have always been allowed abortions..it has always been the poor that die bleeding to death in alleyways and bathtubs.
Add the deaths from our female family members and friends to the bill that this law will bring down on our heads and try reading the bill before you start flaming those that stand against it.

A person doesn't have to be rich to come up with $350 - $500 to pay for an abortion.
Most poor people and middle class people now don't have insurance that pays for abortions - they pay for them out of their own pocket.

The only thing the Stupak Amendment affects are the insurance companies that will be in the public option exchange that will not be allowed to add abortion coverage to their insurance policies.

Abortion clinics are NOT closing.
And a woman's right to have an abortion is NOT being taking away or altered.

Everyone needs to get a grip and let's get this HCR bill passed once and for all!

That $350.00 might not be a lot of money to you..but to a poor person that could be their familie's entire month's groceries!..sheesh..
And just where are they to get that extra money? Are YOU going to loan it to them?
This bill is flawed and it throws out women's civil rights.
It also breaches the separation of church and state.
It makes something that is already becoming extremely difficult in some states for poor women to have access too even worse.
Women will die because of this bill and because of people all too willing to compromise womens health issues and make up excuses for doing so.
