Corporal Aaron Mankin, a Marine journalist was seriously injured when the assault vehicle he was riding it was destroyed by an improvised explosive device (IED). 16 Marines were thrown from the vehicle. Six were killed instantly and Cpl. Mankin nearly made unlucky number seven. His entire body had been horribly burned. This young marine is fortunate to be alive. He came home to his wife and 15 month old daughter. CNN’s Heidi Collins talks with him about his long recovery.

1. speechless - thanks for posting

makes all the little problems we all worry about seem out of scale, especially when someone is that much an optimist and is turning to the future with such enthusiasm

4. Here is the terrible price of war. Only the greatest necessity should ever bear it.

5. War
Yup, our unnecessary and bogus "wars" that inflicted all the injuries on this brave young man were sure worth it, weren't they, America?

This is all because of that man child Bush deciding that all good pres dints are judged as good by history if they goes out and haves themselves a good ole fashioned and glorious war. Even if no vital national interests are at stake.

You know you got a bogus war when the reasons for having it in the first place change every three months while your conducting it.

Step One - go to War no matter what
Step Two - while in the middle of your war, brainstorm new reasons for why you did it.

Shoot first, ask questions later. Makes perfect sense. This brave patriotic young mans sacrifices were so worth it!
