11. Disappointing

The very idea that you should leave a place that needs people like you, instead of making it a better place. That's sad.

We need some serious changes in this country, but to advocate leaving is not the answer. The "love it or leave it" crowd would love to be rid of thoughtful gentle people.

I hope he at least still votes.

12. Yes, YES! A dissenting voice! I was afraid I'd be the only one. We owe it to our children and

to our fellow Americans, and ourselves, to stay and fight.

Our opinion DOES matter, and the way we MAKE it matter is by VOTING. And speaking up and speaking out and writing letters, and never giving up.

(Furthermore, buddy, if someone lets TV shape his or her thoughts and opinions, it's his or her own goddamn fault, because only weak-minded saps do that. I REALLY objected to his comment to the effect that Evil Television makes slaves of us all. I, for one, am NO fucking slave to TV. Because I CHOOSE not to be.)

Those of us with the "dissenting voices" need to keep speaking up in our communities, at our workplaces, in our family groups, so that no one ever feels that he/she is alone.

We stay, we work to make this community a better place, and in so doing, we make the surrounding communities better. We stand up to hypocrisy and injustice. And we let our fellows who are speaking up know that we are with you.

14. The way he talks reminds me of how Abraham Lincoln talked. He was slow but thoughful in his speech .

When people like him start fleeing your country, you are living in a very dangerous country like a Jewish person living in Germany in the 1930s.
