Kate McGarrigle, who with her sister Anna created some of the most beautiful music of the 1960's through 1980's, has died of cancer at the age of 63. This is the McGarrigle sisters performing a lesser-known Stephen Foster song, a song of one endless(but in that case just)war posted today, in a time of endless and universally unjust wars.

RIP Kate McGarrigle.

3. I wanted to post the performance of "Heart Like a Wheel" they did on "SNL:" back in '77
But NBC won't let it be put on YouTube. Corporate jerks.
