Considering Carol is a brief yet insightful look into the sometimes troubled yet often brilliant life of schizophrenic poet come karaoke queen Carol E Kelly.

I was moved by this very short piece and so I repost it here so that you may be as well. Despite great technological advancements, humanity still has a long way to go in understanding and treating mental illness. Many suffer from undiagnosed mental illness and even for those who are correctly diagnosed, recovery is still an life-long struggle.
