"The American people today are suffering through the worst economy since the Great Depression with 17.3 percent of the American workforce either unemployed or underemployed. Millions more have lost their homes, their savings, their health care and their pensions. At a time like this let me provide four reasons why Ben Bernanke should not be confirmed as chairman of the Fed," Sen. Bernie Sanders wrote today to his Senate colleagues. Sanders pointed out that Bernanke was a key economic advisor to President Bush, failed to maintain the safety and soundness of our financial system, allowed the Fed to lend out trillions of dollars in virtually zero-interest loans to large financial institutions, and has not taken adequate steps to improve the economy or seek full employment.

Allowing the corporations to continue the same old bullshit and policies of the asshole Greenspan will inevitably lead to financial disaster again....why would any thinking person want the same shit to occur with no real change as far as safeguards or regulations?

Anyone who wants this corporate bullshit and expects a different outcome should be put in a straight jack and put to sleep permanently....they are of no use to mankind!

Obama is giving into policies that Bush himself would have, and yet we have people here getting pissed when we criticize him for doing so. This man is destroying what legitimacy the democratic party had in regards to helping the working class. Those who critize him are trying to right his wrongs, while he destroys himself politically along with the democratic party.

I wish Bernie Sanders would run for President. He probably wouldn't have much chance to win but it would be great to have him out there. He has great passion I think he'd win a lot of converts to progressive ideas.
