At an election rally held 10/30/8 in Minneapolis, President Clinton states that when he entered office, filibustering increased beyond levels of the previous 30 years, and that we could expect the same from the GOP under the administration of Barack Obama, for whom he predicts a near-certain victory. Bubba argues that to increase the chances of real change and make it clear voters are not just seeking to be rid of George W. Bush, but want to draw a line under Republican policies, period, Minnesotans must not merely vote for Barack Obama, but send Al Franken to the Senate as well, since, as he clearly states, 41 senators can stop anything, save on a budget vote.

The current sorry state of affairs in the US Senate should surprise no-one.
