Summary: Cenk explains that the real problem in Washington is not about Republicans or Democrats. The real problem is the super-majority of 60 corporatist Senators. Sadly that's not something that's allowed to be said on television. But don't take Cenk's word for it, check out http://www.opensecrets.org/|OpenSecrets.org> and see for yourself.

2. SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOF TOPS!
Any hope for a real change comes from OUT HERE! There is no representation of our views and our voices! Not even MSNBC can do it All! SUPPORT CENK AND OTHER INDEPENDENT MEDIA VOICES! (GritTV, GoLeft etc)

PS Protect the Internet! You can be sure as we grow in power the powerful will take control!

NetNeutrality!

4. Here's a better plan...
That's not gonna happen because Cenk and others (ahem!) are calling out corporate Plantation owners. Minimize your MSM intake and boycott advertisers wherever possible. Support in anyway you can ($$ or time or both) those alternate sources you can rely on. TYT has the highest numbers of any Progressive channel of its kind that I know of. I propose that other contributors join the TYT network so to speak. Laura Flanders, Mike Papantonio, Thom Hartmann and other Progressive voices on one powerful network stream on the Internet!

The corporate media must protect itself at all costs and that means we suffer! Of course along with this movement would come the protection of Net Neutrality. Because you can bet yer ass if/when we expose these perps for what they are, they will come after us.

22. Oh, THEY have designs on the internet.
They fully understand they must get this apparatus under control or it will undermine the smokescreen.

I will support net neutrality at every turn. But, as with the health care reform issue, corporate tentacles reach into every crevice.

5. I believe Cenk nailed it and I totally agree with his analysis except as to the
corporate media's motivation for not covering this or bringing it up.

It has nothing to with them not wanting to be rude or impolite, I believe it's because the corporate media have their own conflict of interest to do so.

If the Corporatist Party only care about corporations making profits whether it damages society or not, the corporate media (short term vision) directly benefit from those profits either because they're owned by corporate conglomerates or via revenue from selling commercials and advertising. Ie; when Exxon lies to the people about the threat from global warming climate change, it's to protect their profits and television makes vast sums of money selling commercials to Exxon, etc.

But as for the rest, I believe Cenk is right on the money.

Thanks for the thread, ihavenobias.

6. Talk is cheap. Blogging on DU is also cheap. Actions speak louder than words.
Wake me up when your ready for an all out march in the streets to revolt and take back our country. Let me know when you will have the ballZ to go up against the police and military (only a few bad apples) when they threaten to start shooting you while they defend the United corporations of America as you march in the street to forcibly take back our country. Let me know when you are going to start the attack on the rich and make them eat fucking cake ...in a homeless food line. Let me know because alone I can do nothing to affect the change this country needs now. Go ahead and continue to believe that your vote is going to make a difference. Go ahead and keep your Obama hope and change bull shit. I laugh at you for thinking that. Fools! Nothing of real importance changed by voting. Did you vote for equal rights? Did you vote to end the Vietnam war? WTF ...wake up people. Get some fucking ballZ. Fuck agent mike and his band of merry asshole traitors to the people. Is it our country or theirs? WTF are they supposed to be working for? US! ...damn it all to hell. Our government is totally corrupt and does not represent us ...AT ALL! How can you read about the people who created the constitution and bill of rights and not be inspired to physically fight back? Is the constitution just a damned piece of used toilet paper?

Oh ...forget it ...American Idol is on ...talk to ya later.

7. You're right but...

We need to build the momentum no? Look at DU! There are people who STILL think Barack Obama is a Liberal for fuck's sake! There are still people that think his cabinet selections weren't a slap in the face to all who worked for his ass! The fog is thick man!

We need to build a huge momentum of people OUT HERE in the real world before we misfire. These corporate fuckers have all the chips and we need to work smart. The surrender of our rights by corporate stooges in Congress makes all of this every bit as bad as the sixties if not worse! Look at how the media marginalized the anti-war demonstrations and look at how the fucking war wen on as planned in spite of those millions of protesters... WORLD WIDE!

I want this to happen man. But this is a messy fucking situation we have ourselves in. The push has to be overwhelming, consistent and persistent!

I hear you, I do. We can't go off half cocked. The ability to paint us all as terrorists and shut us away is easier than ever now.

9. I'm not ready to go off half cocked. I will however join with everyone else...
when ever they are ready to fight with actions instead of worthless words. At this point the only thing that will bring down the United Corporations of America (establishment) is an all out revolt with mass work stoppage. Yes there needs to be a coordinated gathering of those with the ballZ and constitutional knowledge to fight for this country ...I'm talking real patriotism ...the same patriotism that our fore fathers had.

A patriot is somebody who protects his country from his government. Or better yet: who has the guts to protect his country from its government. – Piotyr Dirk

Dissent is the highest form of patriotism. – Thomas Jefferson

That worst outcrop of herd life, the military system, which I abhor . . . This plague-spot of civilization ought to be abolished with all possible speed. Heroism on command, senseless violence, and all the loathsome nonsense that goes by the name of patriotism–how passionately I hate them! – Albert Einstein

Naturally the common people don’t want war . . . Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders . . . All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism. – Hermann Goering.

“My country right or wrong” is a thing that no patriot would think of saying except in a desperate case. It is like saying, “My mother drunk or sober.” – G. K. Chesterton

Blind obedience to authority is the enemy of the truth. - Albert Einstein

19. Lobbyists Run This Country
If a Senator happened upon a baby drowning in a swimming pool,
the Senator would call a funeral industry lobbyist and ask if
saving the baby would displease his clients due to loss of
potential revenue...
