When are we going to put a stop to this murder?

Sending men down into a dark, sooty, poisonous hole to extract coal for these fat cats; and then the mine collapses, and a few dozen more lose their lives for what?....a pay check.

This is disgusting.

I left at HS graduation. Life has been hard but not as hard as if I had stayed and worked in the mines, pulp wood cutting or paper mill. I would have stayed for a job at the papermill if there were any as they were cutting back then.

Yes he meant it, you can be sure he is armed and likely has several shooters somewhere nearby if out of sight.

7. On the car radio I overheard a newscaster stating these mine workers make @ 75,000 a year.

He also said there is hardly any other type of work in that region.
Coal mining is a very hazardous job, but what are these people's options?

3. it makes you wonder what's true meaning of "meritocracy"

when someone who's clearly not the sharpest tool in the shed can become such a powerful leader of industry. Last I saw such astonishing success from unambiguously dumb people was in communist Romania where the only ticket to leadership was through party ties and nepotism.

5. Bully and daddys $ and cunning with no conscience

I met him years ago when I was 11 12 yrs old maybe a year older.
Only for a few minutes my dad knew him. I got the impression of 'big man' and bully and just gave me the creeps and he seems worse now.
