1. I liked it a lot better when we were a laughingstock for things like getting drunk
& screwing dead animals. This religious crap just doesn't seem like us.

4. I live 40 miles from Juneau
republicans in this area are losing their frickn minds, does anyone elsewhere have this feeling that they live among dangerous psychos?! Over here it start to look like conservative government is becoming a self fulfilling prophecy! I never owned a gun but even though a devout pacifist, I am thinking about buying a gun for my own safety. Imagine these people are the LAW! who are they going to protect me from?! Horny teenagers?! thanks, but that's 1 job I don't want the DA to spend my taxes on!

12. We've Gone Backwards. I got this sort of Education in TN in the '80s
It is so scary to realize how the crazy Reich-wing nuts have dragged us back into the 1500's.

In 1980 my biology teacher taught us about contraceptives and sex ed. She told us up-front that we should not be having sex BUT, the best way to prevent STDs was through the use of condoms. It was a frank and clinical discussion.

This was in a town of 20,000 people in TN. Not exactly the most progressive of places. Why are we even having this discussion now?
