With the recent uncovering of documents related to several abusing priests who have been shuffled around within the Church... and following the release of materials signed by the current Pope appearing to reinforce this kind of 'shuffle-diplomacy', it is no doubt that the issue surrounding these cases will continue to inspire parody and political satire.

1. That is hilarious!
As a atheist, it isn't surprising to me the reaction of the parents. You know all of the KNOWN cases of molestation on children by the clergy and not one parent has took action? Why? If I was a religious person and bought into the whole imaginary sky daddy thing. It wouldn't make any difference to me who it was that molested my child! Be it the bum on the corner or (if so) god himself. The whole "Don't do anything to them" because they are servants of god thing is disgusting to me!
Its past time the people in this country grow out of imaginary friends.

2. That is the weirdest part
Even allowing for a certain percentage that will buy into the "spare the Church" nonsense, and the others who simply don't beleive their kids (hey, it happens) it still boggles the mind that so many parents have stood quietly by after their kids were victimised by individual clergymen and afterwards by the Church itself.

Wasn't hurting a kid one of the few things Christ specifically condemned in the Bible? SOmething along the lines of having a millstone tied to the perps neck and throwing him into the water? Sounds like a Biblical call for the death penalty to me, and from God Himself no less.
