Toyota's flagship luxury brand Lexus 2010 New Model GX 460 is a 'safety risk' and Consumer Reports is encouraging consumers not to buy it due to a high risk of a rollover accident - the SUV failed in their standard test. Electronic stability control is not intervening as it should and could prove dangerous. It has given the GX460 a rare "Don't Buy: Safety Risk" label. The Lexus was among 95 SUVs tested.

1. Looks like greed got the best of Toyota. What a shame.
A company flying high, at the top of its game, about to become the #1 car manufacturer in the world if it wasn't already, and it just seemed to go berserk and get greedy to get to the top faster or make even more money, sacrificing its badge of quality and its good name.

I doubt anyone could have predicted that Toyota would screw itself up this way. It'll survive and still do well. Toyotas are still selling. But it's name is marred, sales are suffering, and it'll be a long time before it ever gets back to the position it was in before (if ever).

Such a shame. I'm buying a car soon. I WAS going to consider several of the Toyotas. Now I don't know. Maybe.
