April 15, 2010 — While the Tea Party stormed Washington D.C. on Tax Day, a new movement is growing to counter the voice of the Tea Partiers. They call themselves "the other 95%" and they want to thank President Obama for tax cuts that they say benefits working and middle class Americans, unlike former President Bush's tax cuts. They say the Tea Party is a radical fringe group that only represents 5% of the American population. Thurdsay, the two groups had a showdown on the national mall, leading to police coming to the scene to make sure things didn't get too intense.

1. Typical Teabagger logic
So the Teabagger being interviewed has been protesting up to now since he foresaw that the VAT would be enacted from the start of the Tea Party movement and then the taxes would offset the tax cuts he got? Sure.

His real reaction should have been. Am I really that fucking stupid? You mean I have been protesting my Taxes going up and, in reality, I got a tax cut? I am so embarrassed that I will give my white robes to somebody else.

3. Well...
The Other 95% ... would actually include The Coffee Party, The Democrats, The Liberals, many Independents, most of the 'sane' Americans, etc. So, if we all got together we'd be much louder and noisier than the 5% of the teabaggers ;)

8. I prefer a REAL progressive
income tax. With a top level of 90%, just like it was pre-reagan. America currently has the most unfair distribution of wealth in the world. VAT will not change that. It may increase the disparity. Unless we redistribute the wealth, we will remain serfs. We all need the Unionization bill and a chance for people to earn a living wage, off of one job. The other "civilized" countries.

6. So basically, the Tea Partyers are protesting something that they fear will happen, not that has
actually happened. They don't like the deficits, but want tax cuts. And, they don't want to give up their social security, medicare, unemployment benefits, etc. Hmmm, how does that work? Guess they hope the U.S. will win some lottery. These people are idiots!

7. I
I can tell you already, the Tea Party Cult HATE the name of the Other 95% I mentioned it to a co worker who is a Tea Party Terrorist and they were just livid at the suggestion, so they are already getting under their skins. I read another post on another forum where Obama haters chimed in and they are also angry and upset at the fact the Other 95% upstaged them at their klan rally/protest.

9. Well, if they hate the name that much, let's mention it every chance we get!
Perhaps some of the leaders of the "Democrat Party" will publicly endorse the views of the Other 95%. Oh, and apparently Freepers don't like being called "Freeps", so be sure to always use that word too. We might as well choose our own names for things. They do.

10. This is a major element of Obama Derangement Syndrome.
When we were enraged about bush and cheney, it was because of things they had actually done, like, you know, in the past. They did invade Iraq for no reason. They did hand out trillions of our dollars to big corporations and the super-rich. They did out Valerie Plame. Etc, etc.

In dramatic contrast, the Obama haters appear to hate him largely for things they fear he will do in the future: he's going to take our guns, he's going to become a dictator, he's going to declare martial law, he's going to put conservatives in concentration camps, he's going to institute a one-world government, he's going to recruit a personal army from Palestine and subjugate our states one by one (not joking; this was a real concern), he's going to raise taxes, he's going to enslave all Americans, and on and on and on and on and on until you would think they wold run out of imaginary future events to pretend to be outraged about.

But they don't.
