4. not true. I've seen a report of a cat that woke her mistress when

the house was on fire and saved their lives.

(cripe, I had a cat that would come and yowl at me when the tea water was boiling)

18. My Cat
Usually waits until when I'm just about to fall asleep, then jumps up on the bed and lets out a big "Meeooooww!!" Luckily, she isn't one that walks on me, like the other ones. I'm not sure what she thinks--or maybe I'm snoring.

I never was much of a cat person until the last few years. Just like with people, I found it isn't reasonable to put all cats or dogs in the same category.

15. Sure a cat would if it could get a dumb human to follow it. A couple of years
Edited on Fri Apr-23-10 11:35 AM by 1monster
ago, some new people moved into the neighborhood. One late afternoon, my husband was outside walking across the road with one of our eight rescue cats following him.

The new neighbors came out of their driveway (about half a block away) with their baby in a stroller. And from behind them a VERY large doberman pincher galloped in front of them heading straight for my husband.

The cat jumped and ran up to about four feet in front of my husband, got into an offensive position (ears forward) and begain hissing and growling at the dobbie, who (as it turns out was just a six month old puppy) cowered behind his family.

And I have heard of cats who have wakened their families (and consequently saved their lives) when there was a fire in the house.

I'm not dissings dogs at all. We have a little Shih Tzu whose heart is twice his size... he is a very gentle loving little dog, but he has turned into a vicious guard dog (at least in voice) when he perceived some threat or another.

Cats and dogs are very and equally loyal to their families. They just have different ways of showing it.

10. ... the dog obviously texted 9-1-1 from its I-phone ...
:-) ... a couple of mine probably could, if I took the time to train them.
