Even establishment periodicals like Foreign Policy admit how many civilians tribes people are being killed by the drones.

I can see your point about how after it happens we can joke about it, like say we can joke about the children who were gassed in the holocaust, as it was a long time ago. However, to joke about it while it is happening and will continue to happen is not funny.

35. It was funny, but not really appropriate - and here's why:
It was funny, anyone with a daughter (or anyone who has tried to date someone else's daughter) understands the protective instinct of fathers, and making light of it is amusing.

It's not really appropriate because Obama does have a great deal of power of life and death - some people here think too much - and it's not appropriate to invoke that power casually, especially when your predecessor was a tyrant and you have held-over a lot of his powers.

Sorry if i'm stepping on toes, but the US has to be the only country in the world where political figures can joke about using military power. Especially since the US is the very country that often wields that kind of power around the world.
