2. I wonder if he realizes he's a hero in the US, too
at least among those of us who knew what Stupid was and that his war was one of corporate convenience and an oil grab.

I'm just sorry he had so much experience dodging flying crockery. It would have been wonderful to see a shoe connect.

10. I had a bad day at work, until
I came home and turned the TV on and saw this guy slinging shoes at Torture-N-Chief. Boy, I was laughing my ass off! Come to think of it, its still funny watching that video. He got exactly what he deserved. That act also brought to realization what this man, Cheney and Rumsfiled did to that country. So, here's a toast to you my man, that act will live in infamy! :toast:

14. I'm thinking it's probabably better that he missed, actually....
as it sets a better example of non-violent civil disobediance.

But I have to admit, the image of Bush showing up at the next press conference with a heel print
on his forehead would have been priceless!

16. Absolutely. .
I was thinking the same thing. There should be a fund so people all over the world can express their anger and grief for what Stupid did. Maybe a fund to help the widows and orphans in Iraq, in his name. A smart DUer might be able to know how to start such a fund.

19. Nice idea
Such a fund would be a great idea. I don't know much about how to set such a thing up, but I would love to see someone do it.

6. I'm gonna be the badguy here...
if he was planning on doing this for three years, he could've spent some time working on his aim.

11. The shoes have significance in Ararbic culture
A Syrian friend of mine said that this is a special insult. also, being called a dog, as Bush was called, is a huge insult. No real physical harm, but in their culture a huge statement. Yes, I too expected this guy to disappear. Some people said, "How awful!"..I said, "How about the hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis? Dead because of a lie?" "How about the devastation of a county? How does that compare?":redbox:

12. An eye for an eye?
Five years this man plans for the moment he can show Bush the pain he has caused Iraqis' men, women and children. Bush should count his lucky stars this was a man of peace and not vengeance. Could have easily been something a tad sharper than a shoe.
