Thinkprogress has a better demonstration of Fox News censoring the West Point cadets' applause to Obama's speech, comparing the Fox News version (first) where they cut out the cadets' applause (at about 0:29), to the non-censored version posted on the White House website (beginning at the 1:00 mark, same point at the 1:29 mark).

Here's the Thinkprogress article:

And here is a Media Matters discussion on the same thing:

The Media Matters article is generous in that they at least raise the possibility that Fox News was simply using the microphone feed, and thus didn't pick up the applause. However, if you look at the clip, this is obviously not the case. When Obama is speaking, you can clearly hear the ECHO from the loudspeakers, indicating that even Fox News' audio feed is picking up the ambient sound in the audience. Then, you suddenly hear ALL sound cut out, including the echo. There's no question in my mind that the bastards turned off the sound to deliberately censor the applause.

Somebody needs to ask Fox News about this. CNN? NBC? Rick Sanches, where is your Volume Control Syndrome on this one?

2. The people who watch Fox when it is explained
to them that Fox edited out the applause will only laugh and agree with what Fox did. They are just as bad as Fox else they wouldn't watch the s**t.

4. They didn't edit, they erased the soundtrack
if you put in earphones, where the applause should be is a high pitched whine for almost 11 seconds. They erased the applause, and didn't even do a good job covering their tracks.

You wouldn't hear this on a TV, but on the computer with earphones, it's plain say day. Starts around 31 seconds and ends around 42 seconds.

Amateurish, Fixed Noise! And really stupid propaganda spewing!
