1. I'm sorry but..
this makes the unionization of workers from real productive industries look bad.

2. You don't think farming is a "real productive" industry?
Have you ever eaten food?

10. Cannabis is food, fiber and fuel..
Just like corn, except cannabis is also medicinal.

Just because you don't like cannabis doesn't mean you get to dismiss it as a viable product.

4. Apology accepted...
now get with it. Like it or not, marijuana is a very productive industry. I'm all for bringing it completely above board so that the profits go to the right places. It just makes sense. Why have billions of untaxed dollars going to foreign gangsters when we can reap the benefits of this sustainable industry?

And look bad to who anyway? Who are you trying to impress with a middle-of-the-road political approach to a black-and-white issue?

9. I refuse to believe...

that the marijuana industry is really productive. I see the use of marijuana and the potential for it to be marketed and profited from as being negative.

However that being said I do agree that legalizing it is the lesser of two evils. I don't think we should legalize it because of its monetary value (I would say there are better ways to make money) but like you said to keep profits away from violent drug cartels who terrorize innocent people everyday. Especially in border towns here in Texas where the drug violence is escalating.

I'm pro union, as a matter of fact I was involved in trying to unionize nurses here in south Texas. But you know this video clip is going to be used by the other side and say that these people are the model of workers who want to unionize. A lot of people have been conditioned to think unionization is bad even if it is in their best interests and this is just more ammo for the other side to use.

12. I dont see how your attitude is productive

Let's see, prison workers get to unionize, they even get to donate to political candidates that support the drug war. You claim legalizing weed is the lesser of two evils, where is the evil in smoking weed? Drug violence is the result of prohibition and I dont care what the 'other' side will do. I already know what they will do, that is keep throwing people in jail for a crime of doing what they feel like with their own bodies that has been proven to be less harmfull and addictive than legal drugs. If you like unions you should be for all unions, and dont try to tell me that alcohol and tobacco and drug industry people can unionize but marijuana growers shouldn't.

I think you need to look at yourself for who may give unions a bad name, heres a hint, it is a certain moralizing sanctimonious individual who is so afraid of other people demonizing him that he acts like a gutless coward and preaches intolerance out of fear, grow a set of balls or ovaries already. Also, who voted you god that we need to comply with your definition of productive in our lives? Read 'the emperor has no clothes' for a history of cannabis prohibition. If you dont see how letting people live their own lives and how making money off of weed instead of spending money in a futile effort to erradicate it is productive? If taking advantage of hemp isnt productive then what is? Also, the standards you would apply for marijuana prohibiton would lead to prohibition of alcohol and tobacco and we all know how good that works. My uncle and grandmother died from alcohol and tobacco but the industries behind it donate to politicians, how many people died form weed?

That is right, 0.

5. I thought for sure this was an Onion bit
how disappointing. At the same time, I still support the marijuana industry in any way that I can. :)
