Holy Moses I have been removed
I have seen the spectre he has been here too
Distant cousin from down the line
Brand of people who ain't my kind

Holy Moses I have been removed
Holy Moses I have been deceived
Now the wind has changed direction and I'll have to leave
Won't you please excuse my frankness but it's not my cup of tea
Holy Moses I have been deceived

I'm going back to the border
Where my affairs, my affairs ain't abused
I can't take any more bad water
I've been poisoned from my head down to my shoes

Holy Moses I have been deceived
Holy Moses let us live in peace
Let us strive to find a way to make all hatred cease
There's a man over there what's his colour I don't care
He's my brother let us live in peace
He's my brother let us live in peace
He's my brother let us live in peace

5. Well I am more than willing to separate him from his audience
And I am THRILLED that Rush paid him a million bucks. That money will be far more well spent by Elton John.

7. No me, not this time, not this situation. He should've said no, by saying yes
he's validating Rush and Rush's BS.

I'm a old woman, hetero, and have no dog in the fight, except the dog of hypocrisy and lack of principles. Rush's hypocrisy shouldn't be validated and Elton should have higher principles. When I hear one of his on the radio, I'll definitely be switching stations. If his name or his songs are brought up in conversation, I will use this to dis him to the hilt. He's a traitor to his own life, the worst kind, done.

8. He took Rush's money
If he had played for free, you might have a point.

9. So what? Taking his money doesn't make it right or okay. You're wrong here, imo.

10. I also remained a fan when he befriended Ryan White
I would imagine you wouldn't have objected then. :eyes:

11. I understand your sentiments but
I would not go so far as to switch stations when I hear Elton on the radio. I do not understand Elton John's choice on this but it is his choice.

I also did not understand Elton John performing at the Harley Davidson 100 year anniversary celebration as so many lifestyle types are homophobic to the extreme. His appearance at the celebration was a cause for deep consternation for thousands of the participants. Funny really.
