12. The student has nothing to be ashamed of.
It happens under the best circumstances. It isn't an insult. It's called being human being, and it's kind of funny. Try growing a sense of humor or at least a sense of understanding for the human condition.

Thinking you know how someone you never met and have almost know knowledge of past one post on the interweb would react to any situation at all.

I would not be pissed. I might wonder why my kid fell asleep but I would laugh at him not get all over him.

7. Lucky kid
The closest I got to Obama was when he came to a rally in my city in the fall of 08. I was only able to get about a hundred yards away, and since I'm short, I sure didn't see much. This guy was practically breathing the same air as Obama, and he wasn't even awake enough to take it all in. A shame, really.

I am sure this student did the same thing in class for 4 years and was going to receive a Certificate of Attendance, certainly not a Diploma!
