As we approach the 50-day mark for the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, citizens across the Gulf Coast are growing increasingly angry over the disaster response. Haley Barbour, governor of Mississippi, is angry with the Obama Administration, even though he says that we need to expand offshore oil drilling in the Gulf. BP CEO Tony Hayward "wants his life back." And the body count for animals like dolphins and pelicans continues to rise. Mike Papantonio appears on MSNBC's The Ed Show to give us the latest updates on the spill.

what took place in those secret energy meetings?

But we can only speculate as to what took place. I speculate that it is worse than we can possibly imagine. That's why the secrecy is so thoroughly guarded. I think they arranged the energy crisis in California to reward the support of their big time supporters. I can picture Kenny Boy Lay seated at the right hand of a typically sneering arrogant Cheney. Maybe there was even the promise, come hook or crook, that there would be a second Iraq War, this time to secure American control of Iraq's oil reserves. Who knows, really.

Anyone else have something to add?
