1. Welcome to The Military State.
Corporations have way too much power in this country. And with decisions like the SCOTUS recently, they keep getting more powerful.

Corporate America owns our government. It's time to cut the chains.

5. They are probably either contracting out to other oil companies with similar equipment
and expertise, or the Government is bringing in other oil companies on it's own.

8. I listened to part 2 and he again mentioned a fleet of Chevron
helos, and he mentioned that he didn't fully understand and mentioned that possibly the spill (I call it a gusher) is worse than we've been led to believe.

Sen. Nelson (FL) has been making the rounds on my teevee machine the past couple of days raising the possibility that the situation is worse than we're being told. :shrug:

The behavior of the locals is baffling to me. I grew up in a very small southern town and people talked to 'outsiders'. Strange is all I have to say for now.

9. Might be a 'golden handcuffs' sort of situation.
'We'll pay you X since you can't fish, to do this, but if you're quiet about it all, at the end we'll give you Y bonus'

But it sounds more sinister than that, in this reporters view.

10. Ok if it is a crime scene
Why is the oil corporation(s) clamping down so hard locally? Not allowing pictures and video to be out as if they have something to hide?

7. Helen Thomas has made statements to the same about the media not reporting
the facts that lead up to this war... She said the media played dead.
