Al Franken, who I'm proud to call my Senator, gives the smackdown to an oily executive in a Senate hearing. This piece of shit actually says that an environmental catastrophe like the one just getting underway in the Gulf is an "acceptable risk" for the number of deep-water wells drilled successfully. These people need to go to jail for a long time if they caused this as an "acceptable risk."

1. Oooooooh... it's a matter of CONTRACT RIGHTS
I'm glad Coleman cleared that up for us.

Well that's different, then. We can't interfere with any contract rights, just to prevent another spill in the Gulf.

(It would be comical, if it wasn't insanely sad.)
