Today would have been the 100th birthday of Jacques Cousteau.

So in honor of the man who brought the incredibly beautiful and fragile ocean environment to our television screens, and mindful of the terrible, generational damage being done to the Gulf of Mexico, how about a small remembrance to Cousteau's charity for the Rights of Future Generations:

" Every person has the right to inherit an uncontaminated planet on which all forms of life may flourish. "

3. My friends and I watched Cousteau on TCM tonight
I watched the Cousteau shows when I was a kid and they influenced me for the rest of my life. No documentaries now are that informative. On second viewings one realises how ahead of his time Jacques cousteau was. he knew what 'we' would do to the seas. *sad*

4. I grieve the loss of Jacques Cousteau but I thank his family for standing up during this crisis and
and telling the truth and working so hard to try to save our water and our marine life and wildlife.

This is an incredible family that truely treasures what our corporations and our governments do not.

They are an example to all of us what we should be fighting for ...and who we should be fighting for..and that is future generations that will have all that is perfect and wonderful destroyed for grred and $$$$$$$$$$$.

Thank you Jacques Cousteau for giving us so much and waking so many people up..and for raising such incrediible kids that will carry forth your message.
