40. This woman is a typical cheap labor Republican!
All of the deficit loving borrow & spend cheap labor Republicans think just like her, they just don`t say so in public or use code words that mean the same thing. The deficit loving borrow & spend cheap labor Republicans think the workers in the USA have an opulent life style, and should be brought down a few notches so that they are serfs again like the workers in Mexico, Guatemala y otro lugares. The most glorias sight in the world for deficit loving borrow & spend cheap labor Republicans is to see 1,000 hungry faces at the gate trying to get in for one job that pays minimum wages and NO benefits. --- REPUBLICAN NERVANA!!!

5. That little bitch* needs to be unemployed for a long period of time
because you don't live all that well. It's only a part of what you made when you had a job. You can pay for food and shelter and maybe gas to look for another job, but you'll have other bill collectors dunning you day and night. You won't have money for entertainment, toiletries, or cigarettes and booze, not if you're conscientious about feeding your kids.

All I wish for these GOP elitist fuckheads is POVERTY. I'm really not asking for much, I just want them to experience the full force of it long enough to realize why we have social programs.

11. Ms. Angle: Take the unemployment challenge.
Try living on the same amount of money that the average unemployment recipient ears for six months. See how you like it.

Fact is, in my state you are not eligible for unemployment unless you have worked for a certain number of months or years (not sure which), you were laid off not fired for cause and you sign an affidavit that you are actively looking for work, an affidavit which the department giving you the money has the right to investigate. (You have to keep a record of the jobs you apply for.)

Then, in my state, when you start to get unemployment, it is far, far less than you received when you worked at your last job. It is a pittance. You can't pay a mortgage and eat, much less drive a car or cover the cost of health insurance with it. You just barely survive on your savings. Unemployment is a supplement, but you probably can't live on it.

13. She's full of crap..it's written all over her teabagger face.
<snip>

"Also that month, she told Reno conservative talk show host Bill Manders she hoped Reid would be defeated at the ballot box before the electorate resorted to more aggressive measures.
"I'm hoping that we're not getting to Second Amendment remedies," Angle said. "I hope that the vote will be the cure for the Harry Reid problems."

<snip>

""The nation is arming," she told the newspaper. "What are they arming for if it isn't that they are so distrustful of their government? They're afraid they'll have to fight for their liberty in more Second Amendment kinds of ways. That's why I look at this as almost an imperative. If we don't win at the ballot box, what will be the next step?"

http://scrippsnews.com/content/nev-senate-hopeful-sharron-angle-talks-armed-revolt

angle is a wanker..freakshow inciter. She can always get job beside palin at fauxsnooze crying for teabaggers to rise up with guns and go shoot somebody because she scared repuke voters away from the ballot box.

You don't get rich on unemployment. You are lucky if you can make ends meet, and that is as long as you are healthy because you sure as hell can't pay for insurance on unemployment.

28. Actually, unemployment compensation is earned! In some states, it's salary insurance.....
Edited on Fri Jun-18-10 10:39 PM by TheDebbieDee
in which the premiums are paid by both yourself and your former employer. The insurance program is administered by your state. When your employer fires you or lays you off, you are entitled to the pay out from that insurance by filing a claim against that insurance.

Unemployment is a benefit that YOU and your employer pay for while you are working. You are ENTITLED to that money and don't let anyone bull$hit you or shame you on that!

35. This is what pisses me off most. She says it's terrible that people think it's an entitlement.
But it DAMN WELL IS AN ENTITLEMENT!! You pay in, you take out!!

And she talks about "spoiling people." You can't "spoil" unless you give them something for free that they do not deserve. That's what people like her want everyone to believe: that unemployment insurance is "something for nothing" and that people who get it are lazy, spoiled and don't want to work because it's such a bonanza.

As long as the majority of Americans (76%) and our politicians are employed and/or on comfortable pensions, then the longer this recovery is going to take.

36. You can make more money being a hedge fund manager than you can on an honest job

So, Sharron cleaned hotel rooms when she was a kid in the '50's? Big deal. How is that different from any other teenage job? She didn't have to support a family doing that work, she was simply helping out.

I'll say it again: Sharron was a kid helping Mom & Pop when she "did those things that Americans don't do".

Unemployment compensation is a cushion that protects families and our society as a whole. It is financed via payroll taxes. The compensation is generally less than the Federal poverty level.

A study released in 2001 by the U.N. stated workers in the US put in the longest hours among industrialized nations. I don't think hard work and values are the sole property of one political party. And I would like to think that compassion isn't either.

Have you ever seen two of them in the same place at the same time?

There's some sort of factory in the back room of the Tea Party warehouse where they're creating these Stepford Wife candidates ... pretty, uninformed, psycho ... all smiling while advocating all sorts of crazy-ass measures that ensure a downward spiral for the less fortunate in this country.
