West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin III has bypassed the appointment of a replacement for the late Sen. Robert C. Byrd . Now Manchin wants a special election to be held, a move that leaves Senate Democrats short a potentially crucial vote to pass the unemployment extension.

Manchin said Wednesday that he would rather allow voters to choose someone to complete Byrd's unexpired term in an election this fall.

Never ending games in the Senate.

1. I don't know but I think I saw where the AG of WVA has said

he can have the special election and appoint someone til the election. Which he is going to do. He said he won't appoint himself but he is going to run.

3. I've been around a long time and seen some political shit that has.......

.........been unbelievable over the years, but this is one of the meanest, political shenanigans I have ever witnessed. There is absolutely NO excuse for this bullshit.
