Nothing personal against LeBron James, but what is with the headline news in all media outlets about where he MAY play?
Who cares?!!
We are in the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, 10% of Americans are unemployed and losing their minds, the worst environmental disaster in USA history in the Gulf, and to top it off we're in an almost 10 year long war in Afghanistan.....And Lebron James is the BIG STORY ALL WEEK?????

2. Same here.
I didn't even know what sport he was in until this morning, when our newspaper had a huge picture of him on the front page holding a basketball. So, I'm guessing he is a basketball player?

6. ESPN and the other media argue that they're giving the people what they want
with the 24/7 coverage of "The Decision."

I contend it's like a lot of other things the media gerbils overkill. They oversaturate the airwaves with this minutiae to where there's nothing else to watch. Then, the media gerbils will say, "See. You all watched it."

Then, ESPN falls over itself to give LeBron a forum to massage his ego by giving him an hour of prime time to say what he could have said in 10 or 15 seconds. It's the same with the Tiger Woods mea culpa, the OJ Simpson chase, and all of the other BS the media oversaturate the airwaves with.

BTW, I didn't watch it. I could give a rat's ass where LeBron plays basketball for the reasons given in this video. There are more important things to know about than where James will play ball and be overpaid.

It's high time we knock these sports celebrities down a peg or two. When they think they have to have hour-long prime time news conferences to announce their petty decisions, then it's time for this country to reassess its priorities.
