They don't usually show much bias oddly enough.

edit to add - actaully might be good idea as it would immediately shut down almost the entire supply of the Pentagon's fuel in Europe.

2. Yeah baby! Because blood feud mentality solves everything.
And of course the USA has no responsibility for letting them drill in the first place.

Those British bastards must have hypnotized the EPA.

3. Sounds good in theory but the Brits are dying with the US military in Afghanistan and Iraq. I don't
think we can piss off our last ally on the planet.

6. Wouldn't worry about us here in the UK too much
because we're EU it would thus mean the whole of the EU. It would also effectively mean an end to the WTO..........yipee.

BP's ownership statistics break down like this

UK 40%
US 39%
Rest of Europe 10%
Rest of the World 7%
Misc 4%

(source: BP themselves @ http://www.bp.com/extendedsectiongenericarticle.do?categoryId=9010453&contentId=7019612)

Treating a massive transnational as if it belongs to one nationality just because it has "British" in its name is astonishingly naive.

7. I like the way Max and friends just come out and call what is happening the Gulf
FASCISM! Which is indeed correct.

One question: I thought that the monetary system was already based on debt? I mean a dollar means a dollar of work that I am owed by someone I pay the dollar too. Isn't that they bases of money already? The International Banking Cartel is just another layer on this debt process?

9. Why should the Brits be held responsible for it?

Isn't BP a private corporation?

10. Publicly owned private international company
and has been so since prior to the Amoco merger. The last part of privatization was done in such a way as to lock out the Kuwait Sovereign Wealth Fund. The company , BP plc is registered in the UK but falls under International Accounting Rules as opposed to the UK's own SSAP's etc : equivalent of US GAP.

The two current myths are that BP is UK and also that the UK banned Corexit. Neither statement is true : both are half truths. Share ownership is almost equally divided UK/USA and use of Corexit is generally prohibited here for rocky shore use due to the fact that laboratory tests showed that combined with oil it prevents crustaceans attaching to rocks and hence ends their life.
