all is well...........

were breathing this shit for over a week in early May..and our government would not tell us what we were breathing ..only after 4 days of this shit did our local media finally address the smell we were all breathing..but they would not admit it was the dispersant!

We were 300 miles from the rig and Oil at that time.

Everyone I met up with in the grocery store , the bank and everywhere had burning eyes , throats, headaches and felt sick..it felt like a ton of bricks were on your chest.

I live directly on the gulf..I sealed up all the windows , but it didn't matter ..it came right through the glass windows.

The first 4 days it smelled like the worst rotten onions..then it turned into smelling like chemicals..

And I posted about it when it was happening ..here at DU..and was actually called all but a liar! Even though our local news finally addressed the smell..but not the cause!

Understand that from Clearwater to Ft Meyers is almost a 4 hour drive..the smell and chemicals were down the Gulf coast that far!!

I called everyone I could in DC to get truth or information..Our government officials would tell us nothing..they deferred us to BP!!

As you have posted the ones in charge have no idea how much the oil and dispersant will have an effect on the population and the land, animals.

I have a feeling that they were Netvocate posters - posters paid to join message boards and spread corporate/repuke propaganda while making you beieve that your views are kooky or not mainstream.

The oil companies have a lot of work to do to come out of the Gulf oil mess without havineg EVERYBODY come out and support nationalization of the oil industry.

My sister lives in Seminole and I distinctly recall in May she was having a hell of a time with "head cold" related signs and symptoms. I don't think she complained of "smell", but her olfactory glands might not have been smelling it.

it was putrid..but many inland didn't smell the oniony (sp?) smell until days later..they only smelled it when it became more of a chemical smell!

All along the coast is smelled like the worst stink I have ever smelled..all the way from Clearwater down to Ft Meyers...as it was finally reported on our Local Tampa news...4 days after it began.

It was so bad, I did not let my daughter in law bring her baby to visit from Calif...I was afraid for the Baby.

The 17th will be a Stop the BP oil march. I am so sick of this. See the facebook ads.
I am surprised that more americans aren't driven out of their homes to fight against this.
